Stephen H. Root, DDS, MAGD


Biography

Dr. Stephen H. Root graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School in 1970 and earned his B.S. from University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1974. He then completed his dental training at Temple University in 1978. He spent the last 35 years in private practice, first in Ludlow, then in Wilbraham.

He also has earned the Master of the Academy of General Dentistry award, or MAGD. This is a prestigious award, given after completing a rigorous 1,100 hours of continuing education, and includes a board exam. Dr. Stephen H. Root also has been a clinical consultant at the STCC hygiene program for more than twenty six years.

He and Linda, his wife of almost 40 years, have two sons, Jeremy and Dr. Christopher Root. He enjoys playing racquetball, bicycling, hiking, scuba diving and other outdoor activities.
