Did you know less than 1% of dentists have a Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD)? Dr. Stephen Root has completed a structured and rigorous set of requirements involving all the dental disciplines. Dr. Root has accepted the charge to keep abreast of advances in dentistry for the benefit of patients and the betterment of dentistry. He serves as a mentor and leader to other dentists pursuing continuing dental education. He sets examples in the community with his hard work, concern and involvement.
Dr. Christopher Root has received his “Fellowship” in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD). This is a continiung education award which less than 5% of general dentists receive. It requires 500+ hours of continuing education equally divided amongst all disciplines of dentistry, plus a 400-question board exam. He is recognized by other general dentists as a leader and an example to other dentists of the importance of quality continuing dental education. He is considered to be a young man to receive such recognition.
During a dental examination and routine cleaning, we will use instruments, tests, radiographs and clinical expertise to diagnose potential or existent disease states and pathologies. Our primary focus is on the oral cavity, head and neck. An individualized plan is developed to prevent or treat disease states of the oral cavity. In the case of cosmetic dentistry, we will work with you to identify your esthetic goals.
